Delam London focuses on telling stories of Iran by translating traditional craft techniques onto luxury, modern knitwear. Supporting Iranian craftsmanship and the people behind it is at the heart of our ethos.

Delam’s founder, Lili Di Michele, established a unique relationship with tribal artisans in Iran after several years of extensive research. We now work closely with a factory that hand-dyes our yarn using traditional Iranian methods usually reserved for Gabbeh rugs.

These dyeing techniques originated from the Qashqai tribe, and we are the only company to harness them for knitwear, using all-natural ingredients. Slow and considered, our aim has always been to ensure the ancient techniques are kept alive today, to help secure the self-sufficiency of the artisans that practise them.
